Pool Safety Covers

Pool owners should think about adding layers of protection to their pool area not just during swim season but all year round. If you’re looking to lock down your pool or even shut it down periodically, a pool safety cover will keep anyone or anything from accidentally falling into your pool. Whether you’re looking to cover your above-ground pool or inground swimming pool, our safety pool cover is nearly impossible to get into. Furthermore, a pool safety cover can cover a broad range of challenges from environmental factors to energy costs all while keeping your family safe. Besides keeping debris out of your pool, a pool cover will also keep sunlight out and prevent troublesome algae from creeping up within the water. Additionally, all of our pool covers are ASTM certified and can withstand a weight of up to 485 pounds per five square feet.

Evaporation is one of the biggest expenses for pool owners in Florida. According to the United States Department of Energy, it’s possible to recover the cost of your pool with a properly fitted pool cover in only 3 years while also cutting the cost of chemical use, such as chlorine, by more than 50%. By blocking sunlight, you will be able to halt evaporation as well as retard the growth of algae which may save you a fair amount of money in the future. All of our covers have been independently tested to meet and exceed Florida barrier codes and are made from either a propylene mesh or industrial polyester and are often lighter and have 70% more tensile strength than our competitors. You can choose a cover that repels water (solid) or a cover that lets water flow through (mesh), either way, there is no better choice than a perfectly fitted and customized Pool Guard manufactured cover. With over 20 years in state-of-the-art manufacturing, Pool Guard uses triple-stitched and bonded thread along with reinforced anchors and springs that will never rip, tear, or come undone and are also completely tamper-resistant. All of our pool covers come with a convenient storage bag, a pool cover care guide, and hardware installation items. If you’re looking for an all-season lifeguard for your pool, then our Pool Guard Safety Cover is the way to go!

Mesh covers are able to sift out the leaves and debris, yet allow water to pass through the cover.  There is no need to place a pump on top of the cover to remove water.  The cover can hold a large amount of weight and is nearly impossible for a small toddler to remove the cover.  When the cover is on, nobody is getting into the pool.

Solid covers work just like the mesh cover except that the cover is solid and does not allow the water to go through the cover.  If you are trying to keep any water from getting into the pool then the solid cover is a great choice.

Covers are great for those that don’t use their pool that often and those that want to shut their pool down. The cover is also good for those that have a lot of trees over the pool.  The cover will keep all of the leaves out of the water as the leaves fall.  Anyone that has raccoon and iguana problems will be happy to know that the safety cover will keep the pool safe from being spoiled.

Covers are not good for anyone that wants to swim in their pool every day.  The cover, which is very secure, does take some time and a small amount of muscle to undo and reinstall.

Holes are drilled in the deck every three feet so small brass anchors can be installed.  The anchors are installed so they are nearly flush with the deck when not being used.

The springs offload the pressure on the straps so they do not tear.
